Two of the UK’s finest up and coming bands are joining musical forces this summer with a fantastic 20 date tour all over the UK. To celebrate Banquet Records will be releasing a limited edition 7” split single to coincide with the tour featuring the brilliant new Tellison track ‘Wasps Nest’ and the explosive ‘Night of the Pencils’ by Tubelord.

To celebrate Banquet Records will be releasing a limited edition 7” split single to coincide with the tour featuring the brilliant new Tellison track ‘Wasps Nest’ and the explosive ‘Night of the Pencils’ by Tubelord.

Tellison formed after meeting in Hampshire, Kingston and Brixton and have pretty much toured ever since. On their travels they have shared stages with the likes of Get Cape Wear Cape Fly, Good Shoes, I Was A Cub Scout, Dartz!, Hundred Reasons, Hell Is For Heroes, Sam Isaac, Spitalfield, Fightstar, Kubicheck! The Junior Varsity, The Audition, Gallows, Dave House, TANAOU, Spy Versus Spy, Walter Shriefels, Meet Me in St Louis, Emmy The Great and many more.

In 2007 the band found the time to extensively tour, continue their various academic pursuits and release one of the year’s finest debut albums in ‘Contact! Contact!’ – an album packed full of massive hooks, passionate melodies and brilliant independent pop songs that won the hearts of fans and critics all over the country. New track ‘Wasps Nest’ is another slice of catchy-as-hell poprock that defines the summertime. The band will be taking over the UK this summer with fellow Kingston dwellers Tubelord. The dazzling jerky, jangly, melodic, quiet-loud, loud- quiet three piece have turned heads in 2008 with the release of single ‘Feed Me A Box of Words’. With press and radio taking notice Tubelord are set for a big year and their stunning track ‘Night of the Pencils’ will feature on this limited edition release.
