Baconmusic is a good old simple music website.
Started back in 2000 and initially designed as a music technology website offering free audio clip downloads and MIDI tutorials it has since evolved into a user-driven news and review website which is kept alive by non-paid writers at a grassroots level.
All of the Baconmusic writers contribute because they love (and live) music.
This makes Baconmusic a great place for people to discover and contribute on real music stories, written by real music fans for real music fans.
Think you’d like to join in and write for the site? We take anyone, as long as your crazy enough to care drop us a message and we can set you up with an account!
Alternatively, if you work in the industry and have any news you would like to publisise then feel free to get in touch!
In October 2008 Baconmusic was re-vamped with a new design and backend.
Drupal, the CMS which ran the site for over 2 years was dropped in favour of WordPress.
In order to achieve a fast turn around the site was themed using the quite wonderful Guzel Magazine Theme created by Ahmed Fouad over at www.customthemedesign.com.
The design was overseen by Kimb Jones, a Northern England based Web Developer who is Creative Director of base6 Design Ltd and is the owner and editor of the Baconmusic website.
