After the first 15 or so seconds of the album you’re already drawn into believing that buying or listening to this album was one of the better ideas you have had in a while. This new band hailing from South Wales and Birmingham simply ooze confidence which shows how good they believe their songs are considering that this is the debut album coming from the four-piece. With influences like NIRVANA emerging especially in stand out tracks like “Pornography” and “Suffocate Me”.
MY ALAMO is set for big things with radio coverage and positive reviews including this one I’m sat here writing. The music connects with the listener and just forces you to carry on listening, just to see whether anything will slow down or if you will be grabbed by the scruff of the neck throughout the entire album. Tracks such as their single “1994” stand out strong, and “I’m Not The Enemy” showing that MY ALAMO are definitely going to grow and grow, attracting more fans constantly. They stand out from what is going on at the moment and they should be respected greatly for it.
Overall MY ALAMO's self titled debut is a strong album that will definitely boost the band into the recognition throughout the music scene that they deserve. The band show that they just want to write good music, and they sure as hell don’t disappoint. This album is recommendable to anyone who appreciates good music and doesn’t just follow the trend of what’s playing on everyone’s iPod.
